OPERATIONAL UPDATE: 5/27/2020 10:00 a.m.

The cooperative has been preparing for weeks to return all employees back to the office from their home/remote offices. As things begin to reopen in a safe manner, your cooperative will remain closed to the public, however we will return to a normal work situation where all employees will once again work out of the main office starting Monday, June 15. While we look forward to when we can actually open the doors again to hold meetings, have visitors in the office, and meet face to face with our members & Shelby Energy customers, we will continue to keep the building closed and follow CDC and state guidelines. We will continue to practice social distancing and clean common and work areas as needed and monitor any new developments. As always, we will continue to answer phone calls and continue to provide our customers with the service and attention they expect.

If you have questions or need anything don't hesitate to call us 217-774-2311. You can also email us at email560@shelbyelectric.coop.

Even though our doors will continue to be locked, we are continuing to do business as normal. Our drivers are out making deliveries and will continue to do so. Per CDC direction they will continue to employ “social distancing”.

For customers who pay in person, we do offer a drop box just outside the office. When dropping payments into the deposit box, make sure you note on the envelope (attention: Shelby Energy) & please include your name, account number, and phone number.

Reminder: Cash payments will be accepted in the deposit box, however, NO change will be made available. You can also call in with a debit or credit card to make your payments.
